What it means
Time value turns pay into a rate you can compare against anything: a purchase, a task, a meeting or a goal. It starts with yearly income divided by the hours you work in a year.
It isn't the same as the time value of money, which is a finance idea about interest. Time value is about you: what your hours are worth now, and what they need to be worth to reach your goal.
