How it works
- Add your teamCreate a profile for each person with their salary or hourly rate. Each profile is $9.99, paid once and saved on your device.
- Price the workFor a project, use each person's profile to price the hours they'll spend.
- Add a marginSet the quote from the real time cost, not a guess.
- Compare with the budgetSee the profit, or the loss you avoided, before you commit.
An example: a website redesign
A team of five, priced on 2,080 working hours a year:
| Lead$150,000, 20 hours | $1,442 |
| Designer$110,000, 40 hours | $2,115 |
| Engineer$130,000, 60 hours | $3,750 |
| Engineer$130,000, 60 hours | $3,750 |
| Product manager$120,000, 20 hours | $1,154 |
| Team time cost200 hours | $12,212 |
| Quote with a 40% margin | $17,096 |
| Profit at that quote | $4,885 |
| A flat $10,000 bid would have lost | −$2,212 |
| Difference on one project | $7,096 |
Five profiles cost $49.95, once. Pricing a single project on real time paid for them about 140 times over.
Meetings, once your team has profiles
With your team in Time Valuer, you can also see what any meeting costs, ranked by who's in the room. The same five people cost $307.69 for an hour together.
| Weekly one-hour meeting52 weeks | $16,000 a year |
| Cut to 30 minutes | $8,000 a year |
| Saved | $8,000 a year |
If a meeting's outcome is worth less than what it costs, it lost money. Seeing the cost makes that obvious.
